Late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was posthumously celebrated at the 17th Headies Awards on Sunday, where he was honoured with the Best Street-Hop Artiste award for his hit single, “Ask About Me.”

His wife and young son, Liam, took the stage to accept the award on his behalf, receiving a heartfelt standing ovation from the audience. Beyond this win, Mohbad’s collaboration with Chike on the song “Egwu” also earned him the Viewers’ Choice Award. He was additionally nominated posthumously for Best Collaboration and Afrobeats Single of the Year for the same track.
