To mark its 10th anniversary, Australian fashion label Matteau is launching a special capsule collection in collaboration with Moda Operandi, the luxury retailer that has supported the brand since 2019. The limited-edition release drops Thursday and reflects the label’s signature minimalist style.
Matteau Celebrates 10 Years with Exclusive Capsule Collection for Moda Operandi
“It’s a full-circle moment to partner again with Lauren [Santo Domingo] and the Moda Operandi team — they’ve been with us from the beginning,” said Matteau cofounders and sisters Peta Heinsen and Ilona Hamer in a statement to WWD. Designed between Sydney and Los Angeles, the 13-piece collection channels Matteau’s effortlessly refined aesthetic, emphasizing versatility and vacation-ready ease.
The collaboration reimagines the brand’s beloved silhouettes with a summer twist, using lightweight, packable fabrics like crisp cotton poplin, airy linen, and luxe knitwear. “This collection was made for high-summer dressing,” said April Hennig, Moda Operandi president. “It’s a blend of elevated wardrobe essentials and laid-back cocktail pieces, all wrapped in a warm-weather spirit.”
Highlights from the capsule include:
-
Fisherman Drawcord pants in a soft organic cotton-silk blend
-
Cotton poplin sundresses in a new rosewater hue — ideal for summer weddings
-
Crossback Midi and Shift Mini dresses in bright lemon tones
-
The brand’s iconic heavyweight Breton Stripe T-shirt in a limited-edition rose stripe, featuring a classic boat neckline and straight sleeves
Model Britt Oosten stars in the campaign, photographed by cofounder Ilona Hamer on location in Lanzarote, Canary Islands — a perfect backdrop for the collection’s breezy elegance.
The Matteau x Moda Operandi capsule is priced between $240 and $650 and is available exclusively online via both brands’ websites.
