In reaction to the Pull Up For Change Initiative, Kylie Cosmetics has come out to display their current employee demographics, showing how many Black staff they have. This is to assure us that they stand by the Black Community and are not just speaking, because they don’t want to seem complicit.

Pull Up For Change was initiated by Sharon Chuter, the founder of Uoma Beauty as an addition to the Black Lives Matter Campaign. The initiative requires companies to share the number of Black Employees in corporate and executive levels in their establishment.

Kylie Cosmetics was quick to join in the movement by posting their racial demographics, which showed a 47% for BIPOC  and 53% for Whites, also stating 13% of them are Blacks.

Kylie Cosmetics said “Thank you Sharon Chuter for bringing an important issue to the forefront of the conversation in our industry.” This shows that they are in support of the call.

The Beauty Company said that they were focused on ethnic diversity and black representation in their workplace. This is very encouraging to note, because unlike Nike that was specifically called out to Declare their employee representation, they actually pulled up!
