Monochrome/monochromatic fashion trend means you get to wear different shades and tints of the same colour. How wonderful is that?? Most of our favourite Instagram influencers have slain the monochromatic fashion trend. The Pandemic inspired a love for earthy tones like black, grey and brown. It has created a new interest in this fashion trend. The most popular colour palette to use is the colour Brown. So if you want to slay this Brown Monochromatic trend, here are a few tips on how to do so.

MIX TEXTURES IN YOUR MONOCHROME OUTFIT

Make sure you mix textures within your monochrome outfit! You want to make your fit interesting by adding different textures. We did with here by pairing the cotton crop top with the Leather culottes.

CREATE BALANCE

Remember balance when combining pieces, so that one colour won’t overwhelm you. Rather, you want your monochrome outfit to make you look tall and lean. To get this, play with proportions.  The texture is an important element when putting together monochromatic looks. Where the monochromatic outfit has one fabric, you would likely end up looking boring.

SHOW OFF THE RIGHT AREAS

A monochrome outfit can help show off the right areas of your body using the right colour. Always, wear the darker shade of the colour on the lower parts of your body to show off your curves.

ADD IN A TOUCH OF PATTERN

Monochromatic outfits can have patterns or prints. But, it’s more difficult to find a pattern that matches your color scheme. To make your look more interesting, you add a print piece made up of the same color you’re working with. You can also try adding a patterned shawl or scarf for fun.
