International Girl Child Day- Empower Girls: Before, During and After Crisis

International Day of the Girl Child is an international observance day declared by the United Nations; it is also called the Day of the Girl. Since October 11, 2012, the International Girl Child Day has been celebrated annually. It is a way of raising awareness of issues facing girls internationally surrounding education, nutrition, child marriage, legal and medical rights.

On Wednesday, 11th of October, 2017, the HeartmindersNG celebrated the 6th International Day of the Girl Child with the THEME: EmPOWER Girls: Before, During and After crisis.

The Publisher and Editor in Chief, Exquisite Magazine, Mrs Tewa Onasanya was one of the speakers and panelists.
