In 2009 a long conceived idea came to life, the Exquisite lady of the year (ELOY), the first ever successful award ceremony of its kind was packaged and executed by Exquisite magazine, led by its publisher Tewa Onasanya also the creator of ELOY.
It got bigger and better in October 2010 at the landmark Village in Victoria Island Where Teju Babyface and Kemi Ajumobi hosted the exquisite guests at the second edition of the Exquisite lady of the year award which turned out a huge success as anticipated!
Now, Plans and actions are in top gear to make history again as we approach the third edition of the Exquisite lady of the year (ELOY) 2011 slated for the 23rd Of October at the Incubator with the Business Seminar themed ‘tools for business survival in Nigeria’ and Pre ELOY dinner on the 22nd of October 2011. The After party of the ELOY awards will be held on the awards night at Chrome.
The spotlight is beaming on women. It is evident in Nigeria and around the world, as policy makers and business support organizations are waking up to the idea that women are good for the economic prosperity of the nation. Financial institutions, the government and others are recognizing the untapped potential of women
Exquisite magazine is organizing the third edition of the Exquisite Lady of the Year (ELOY) Awards. These awards are the first of its kind for exquisite to be held in Nigeria. The aim of ELOY Awards is to have it grow each year as we recognize and award our outstanding women and their roles in the society. From Their humble beginnings they have grown to become people other women and men admire and emulate while striving for success.

1. ELOY is the first female only award ceremony in Nigeria.
2. Also held to increase the awareness for Cervical cancer which kills a woman every hour in Nigeria (according to published report) and Breast Cancer.
3. The criteria for the ELOY Award focus on the character of the individual, her ability and achievements and how her work impacts the Nigerian society. Must be currently active in the field of category.
4. Voters should send their votes by texting “ELOY” followed by nominee to “35070”. There will be a raffle draw where voters will win lots of prizes including a return ticket to any destination in Europe, DVD players, Blackberry phones and more.
