GROOMING REGIMEN – Showering and cleansing my body is very important. My favourite shower gel is any juicy shower gel from Yves Rocher. I am currently using a cranberry and almond mixture and it smells like heaven on earth.
LOOKS – Skincare is very important to me so I have a routine I follow every morning and night. I cleanse with the Cetaphil Gentle Face Cleanser to cleanse my skin then use the Freedom Pro Studio Glycolic Radiance Tonic because it makes my skin smoother and makes me ‘glow’. I moisturize my skin everyday with the Yves Rocher Sabo Vegetal Gel Cream. I also use essential oils such as tea tree and lemongrass to help with my acne scars and hyperpigmentation.
PERSONAL BEAUTY TIPS – Because I have oily skin, I always prime my skin before putting makeup. Another personal makeup tip is always setting my makeup with some powder when I’m done. It prevents the makeup from sliding all around and allows it to last long. My last personal tip is blending – blend your makeup like your life depends on it. The more you blend, the better your makeup is.
WHAT I DO FOR INNER HEALTH – When it comes to my mental and inner health, I try to feed my mind with positive things. I’m constantly reading inspirational books, quotes and other positive things that help my mind and soul. I also listen to podcasts that teach me about the world. I’m currently listening to ‘Criminal’. It takes a closer look at interesting and particular crimes that happen in the US. It is fascinating.
FAVOURITE SCENT AND WHY – I’m a fan of mixing perfumes. I’m currently living for two perfumes right now – Guerlain’s newest scent, Mon Guerlian, and Paco Rabanne Olympéa ‘Intense’. I love how they smell together and every time I use these two perfumes together, I get stopped and asked about what perfume am I wearing.
FITNESS – I recently started doing yoga and working out every other day. I was doing it in the beginning because I wanted to get in shape for a swimsuit video I was doing but I started noticing the benefits and now it is an important part of my life. I love doing yoga early in the morning as it wakes my mind and body up and I use Nike training club to plan my workouts. Doing yoga and working out has been amazing for my body.
FOOD AND DAILY ESSENTIALS – I’m not huge on carbs (rice, bread, swallow) but I love to eat a lot of proteins and veggies. I LOVE eating chicken. Anything chicken related, I am there. I cook a lot so my fridge is always stocked with chicken and lamb that I pair with veggies and little brown rice.
HAIR CARE SECRET AND PRODUCTS – I don’t have any secret to my hair but I think something that has helped me a lot is paying attention to my hair when I wash and condition it and seeing what works. I only use products that I have used and seen that my hair likes. My favourite deep conditioner is Olori ‘Damage be Gone’ Deep Conditioner. As for my twists, I use the Cantu Coconut Curling Crème and the Twist and Loc Gel. The combination of these two products gives my hair great definition and hold.
